This distinctive creation draws inspiration from traditional Japanese Ko-uchi Hamono, combining forged carbon steel, rustic metal textures, and carefully selected natural materials.

The blade is crafted from forged carbon steel, featuring an intentionally aged appearance that emphasizes the raw character of traditional Japanese metalwork.

Its distinctive Sabiji finish creates a rich, rustic surface with a sense of history and character.

Unlike modern mirror-polished blades, this piece embraces the natural beauty of forged steel and the subtle irregularities that define handcrafted metalwork.

A visible hamon (temper line) adds another layer of visual interest, contrasting with the darker, textured blade surface.

Measuring approximately 7.1mm thick, with a cutting edge of 120mm, the blade has a substantial, sculptural presence.

The handle combines Ho wood (Japanese magnolia), lacquer-coated paper, and copper, bringing together natural textures and traditional decorative materials.

The accompanying sheath features lacquered Ho wood and rusted iron elements, complementing the blade’s antique-inspired aesthetic.
