Policy

Returns & Exchanges

If you encounter any quality issues with our products, they may not meet your expectations. If you wish to return an item due to a quality issue, please initiate the return process by emailing info@sunizumi.com

General Return Guidelines:

Eligibility: General regular stock items with quality issues are accepted for return within 5 days of receipt. This period is sufficient to determine if the product meets our quality standards.

Return Authorization: Before returning the item, please contact info@sunizumi.com to obtain return authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Condition: Items must be returned in a new and unused condition. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these criteria.

Restocking Fee: For defective items, the restocking fee is waived. However, for returns due to other reasons, a 15% restocking fee may be applied to cover shipping costs, credit card fees, and labor costs.

Cancellation: If you cancel your order before it's shipped, a 5% service charge will be applied to cover the costs incurred by the credit card processor.

Refunds: After receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will process the refund. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment, however, shipping fees are non-refundable.

Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. In cases of our error or a quality issue, we may provide a prepaid return label.

Insurance: We recommend insuring the package you are returning. We are not responsible for lost or damaged returns.

Exchanges:

Exchange Period: We welcome exchanges for items with quality issues within 3 days of receipt. The same conditions for returns apply to exchanges.

Approval: Before returning an item for an exchange, you must obtain a return authorization number.

Restocking Fee: No restocking fee will be applied for exchanges of equal or greater value, but shipping costs will apply.

Special Artisan Collaboration Series:

Exclusivity: Items from the Artisan Collaboration Series are crafted with unique craftsmanship and are available in limited quantities.

Final Sale: Due to the unique nature and limited availability of these items, all sales for Artisan Collaboration Series products are final. Unless received defective, returns or exchanges for these items will not be accepted.

For your convenience, we offer a variety of payment methods, including Paypal and Shopify payments (VISA, MASTER, JCB, AMEX, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Please choose the method you prefer.

Logistics

Shipping Policy

For items in stock, if you order in the morning on a business day, we will ship it the same day or the next business day. Orders received on holidays will be promptly shipped after the holiday. We will inform you separately about the expected shipping date for out-of-stock items. Some products may be shipped via non-standard mail to reduce costs, but this means cash on delivery and specific delivery time requests cannot be accommodated. Also, please note that non-standard mail cannot be tracked, so check your local post box for delivery.

For custom-made items, engraved products, and out-of-stock items, we will contact you with a specific shipping date. Please understand that due to transportation circumstances, it might be difficult to specify the delivery date and time.

For shipments via mail, it typically takes about 2-10 days domestically and 3-30 days internationally to reach you.

Shipping Costs

Within Japan:

Orders totaling 7,999 yen or more will be delivered free of charge anywhere in Japan.

For orders less than 7,999 yen, a shipping fee of 800 yen per kilogram is required.

We will select the most suitable shipping carrier based on the domestic logistics situation, so we cannot accommodate requests for specific carriers.

International:

For orders totaling less than 59 USD, a shipping fee of 5 USD per kilogram will be charged.

Orders totaling 59 USD or more will be shipped free of charge anywhere in the world.

Orders over 399 USD will automatically be upgraded to DHL or FedEx shipping.

Please note: Prices are converted from Japanese Yen to US Dollars at the exchange rate, and it's not a real-time rate. Therefore, there might be slight fluctuations at the time of checkout.

Orders within the US are primarily shipped from our US warehouse via USPS. For out-of-stock items, we will ship promptly after restocking. In some cases, items may be shipped directly from our Asian supply chain.

Considering the international logistics situation, we will select the most suitable shipping carrier. Therefore, we cannot accommodate requests for specific carriers, and we appreciate your understanding.

Legal

To protect minors, we do not sell certain products like knives to customers under 20 years of age. Age verification will be required at the time of order. Also, please note that due to differences in browsers and photography environments, the color of the product images and the actual items may differ.
