Product Description
A distinctive folding axe designed and crafted by Japanese maker Tomoyuki Nemoto.
The axe head is made from D2 tool steel with a black finish, giving the piece a subdued, industrial character. At approximately 7.8mm thick, the substantial blade profile gives the axe a solid, purposeful presence.
The handle is built around a stainless steel frame with a black titanium-colored coating, paired with carbon fiber and black G10 scales. The combination keeps the overall palette restrained while adding subtle contrast through texture and material.
An Axis Lock-style locking system secures the folding mechanism and adds another mechanical element to the design.
Measuring approximately 250mm overall and weighing around 820g, this is far more substantial than a conventional folding knife. It feels closer to a compact heavy-duty tool that happens to fold — a bold expression of Nemoto’s approach to mechanical structure, proportion, and unconventional knife design.
Includes a nylon storage pouch.
