Overview

The “Hien” is an outdoor fixed blade crafted by Japanese master knifemaker Kiku Matsuda.

Named after the swift, sharp flight of a swallow, the blade’s flowing and aggressive silhouette reflects its namesake—fast, precise, and unmistakably elegant.

Forged from high-performance OU-31 tool steel, the blade measures approximately 6 mm thick, delivering exceptional strength, toughness, and edge retention.

With an overall length of 294 mm, a blade length of 173 mm, and a weight of approximately 456 g, it strikes a refined balance between cutting performance and handling.

The signature Nebura (Nebula) etched finish gives each piece a unique depth and visual presence that has become one of Matsuda’s most iconic aesthetics.

The handle features sculpted Black G10, offering outstanding grip, durability, and comfort.

A Boltaron 4332 sheath is included—highly durable, heat-resistant, and stronger than standard Kydex.
