A handmade Nakiri kitchen knife crafted in Japan by Yoshio Sugiyama.
The blade is made from Gin3, also known as Silver No.3 stainless steel, and features a refined satin-brushed finish. The clean blade surface and subtle polishing lines give the knife a restrained, professional appearance while preserving the character of a handmade Japanese kitchen tool.
Designed primarily for vegetable preparation, the compact Nakiri blade offers excellent control for chopping, slicing, and precise everyday kitchen work. Its straight cutting edge is especially suited to clean, efficient contact with the cutting board.
The handle is accented with copper inlay, adding a distinctive handcrafted detail and a warm metallic contrast to the satin-finished blade.
Measuring approximately 265mm overall, with a blade length of approximately 130mm and a blade thickness of approximately 2mm, this compact Nakiri is easy to maneuver. Its approximately 167g weight provides a solid and stable feel in hand.
A compact Japanese-made vegetable knife combining Gin3 steel, refined materials, and Yoshio Sugiyama’s careful craftsmanship.
