A handmade custom outdoor knife crafted in Japan by Hiroshi Saito.

The blade is made from VG10 stainless steel, a well-regarded Japanese steel that offers a practical balance of cutting performance, corrosion resistance, and ease of maintenance. With a blade thickness of approximately 4mm, the knife has a solid and substantial profile suited to general outdoor and campsite use.

Each blade is individually finished by hand with fine brushed lines. The understated surface treatment reduces excessive reflection while preserving visible traces of the maker’s handwork, giving the knife a refined yet rugged character.

The handle is made from desert ironwood, a dense hardwood admired for its durability, rich coloration, and naturally varied grain. Its deep brown tones and flowing patterns complement the brushed metal finish, while the solid wooden construction provides a reassuring feel in hand.

A handmade vegetable-tanned leather sheath is included. The leather will gradually deepen in color and develop a natural patina through handling and use, allowing the sheath to gain its own character over time.

With an overall length of approximately 263mm and a blade length of approximately 133mm, the knife offers a compact and manageable size for outdoor carry. The knife weighs approximately 162g, while the leather sheath weighs approximately 140g.
