A handmade custom kitchen knife crafted in Japan by Hiroshi Saito.

The blade features an SG2 powder stainless steel cutting core with layered Damascus steel. The flowing layered pattern gives each blade a distinctive appearance, while the SG2 core provides the refined cutting performance and edge retention associated with premium Japanese kitchen knives.

Each blade is individually polished by hand, bringing out the layered steel pattern and giving the surface a smooth, refined finish. Subtle variations in the polishing and Damascus pattern preserve the character of a genuinely handmade piece.

The handle is made from Karin wood, selected for its warm color and naturally expressive grain. Its understated wooden texture complements the polished layered blade, creating an elegant balance between natural material and metal craftsmanship.

With an overall length of approximately 295mm, a blade length of approximately 165mm, and a blade thickness of approximately 3mm, the knife offers a compact and versatile profile. Despite its substantial blade construction, it weighs only approximately 135g, providing a light and agile feel in hand.
