Overview
“Kogetsu” is a handcrafted exhibition fixed blade created by legendary Japanese bladesmith Kiku Matsuda.
This piece was showcased at the Lake Biwa Knife Exhibition, making it extremely rare—exhibition knives from Matsuda are often produced in ultra-limited quantities or as one-off creations.
Forged from Matsuda’s signature OU-31 high-performance tool steel, the blade delivers exceptional strength, edge retention, and durability.
With a blade length of approx. 151 mm and a thickness of around 5 mm, “Kogetsu” offers a powerful slicing profile combined with Matsuda’s signature tactical curves.
The handle is crafted from black G10, precisely contoured for excellent grip, impact resistance, and weatherproof performance.
Included is a lightweight, highly durable Kydex-style sheath, offering secure retention and dependable carry in all field environments.
