Kyoto Exhibition Wrap-Up | A Moment of Craft, Exchange, and New Beginnings
The Kyoto exhibition held on January 10–11, 2026 has successfully come to a close.
It was a real pleasure to meet so many familiar faces as well as new friends, and we sincerely thank everyone who took the time to visit and share these two days with us.

At this exhibition, we presented the very first handcrafted piece from our in-house brand sunizumi — the Small Brown Outdoor Pakiri Knife.

This marked an important step for us, representing a shift from curation and sharing toward hands-on creation. From structure and proportions to real-world usability, this piece reflects our understanding of practicality, durability, and long-term companionship. We were deeply grateful for the thoughtful and honest feedback we received during the show.

During the exhibition, we also had the opportunity to closely engage with the works of Hidetoshi Nakayama, exchanging ideas on craftsmanship and creative philosophy. In addition, meaningful conversations with Designer Hao on design thinking, material choices, and future directions proved both inspiring and valuable.

For Sunizumi, an exhibition is not only a place to present work, but also a process of learning, reflection, and reaffirming our path forward.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who stopped by, took the time to talk with us, and shared their thoughts. Moving ahead, we will continue to take steady steps, creating pieces that are meant to be used, lived with, and appreciated over time.
We look forward to seeing you again.
